About Us

Microdyne Corporation (NASDAQ: MCDY) was acquired in January 1999 by L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL), a $2.5 billion company currently employing 23,000 employees. L-3 is a leading merchant supplier of sophisticated secure communication systems and specialized communication products. L-3's businesses have decades of experience successfully developing state-of-the-art technologies that set standards in their particular niche. Because of its size and diversity, L-3 provides Microdyne the financial flexibility required to quickly expand or add operational facilities required to meet our client commitments.

In the summer of 2001, L-3 Microdyne acquired the assets of EnvisioNet, an innovative provider of high quality, value-added technical support and customer care services for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Independent (Internet) Software Vendors (ISVs), Application Service Providers (ASPs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and e-Commerce companies.

This acquisition allows L-3 Microdyne to enhance its support offerings with these complementary capabilities within a compatible business framework of service quality and client focus.
In March 2002, L-3 Microdyne's quality business and contact center practices were certified by the Customer Operations Performance Center (COPC). The prestigious COPC-2000 certification has only been attained by less than 40 contact centers in the world to date, and proves L-3 Microdyne's commitment to quality and accuracy.

Today, L-3 Microdyne's integrated solution features multiple contact centers with the capacity for millions of support events per month, and the experience of providing support for a variety of technology industry leading clients. L-3 Microdyne's infrastructure is capable of accommodating thousands of highly trained support technicians, engineers, and customer care specialists to provide accurate multi-channel support.
